Our story...
Rtistic Pictures is a movie and film production company. Producing, directing, editing, and distributing films, commercials, tv shows, documentaries and much more. Shane Foster is the founder of Rtistic Pictures. His primary specialty is Cinematography and Lighting. He has been working in the film industry since 2005. Shane began making films at the age of 12 making fake commercials, or short films. With limited resources, he often used his sister as his primary actor in his early films. He began shooting on an old VHS video camera. He first realized the power of filmmaking when he got in trouble for making his sister fall out of a tree in one of his shorts. The only thing was, she never fell out of the tree. His edits, even though done through rigging two VCRs together using play and pause to make transitions, were convincing enough to fool his parents and get him in trouble. To get out of trouble he showed his parents the raw footage. He continued his love for film and eventually began adding music creation to his repertoire at the age of 14. Fast forward several years to when Shane volunteered on a feature film in the art department called "The Visitation" starring Edward Furlong and Randy Travis, and he was immediately hooked. The cinematographer gave Shane the camera settings he was using on the film camera and Shane took pictures of the sets when they were lit up and saw how much control you could gain with lighting and camera settings. To gain more experience and practice, Shane worked for a TV station as a "photog" aka field camera operator, shooting news stories. After two years of this, Shane met his close friend and business partner Gary Shackelford. They began the production company "Window In Time Productions where they worked on several spec commercials and shorts together. Tragically Gary got in a car accident and died instantly on Impact. The news of this started a spiral downward for Shane leading to two divorces, and ultimately after working on several feature films to keep his mind occupied, he ended up getting out of the hustle of Running his own production company. He would take jobs here and there in the industry but stopped working in the industry for quite a while. In 2020 when Covid19 hit, Shane Joined World Financial Group, a company that began to cause Shane to want to rebuild himself. They had amazing coaching and mindset training. Through this training, Shane realized he needed more help so he sought out therapy. While in therapy, Shane began to process all the trauma and began to overcome many of his struggles. He finally decided to restart Rtistic Pictures and return to his passion. He still works for World Financial Group and always will because they helped him to return to his true love. Film making!
